IF YOU DO NOT INDICATE, YOU WILL NOT BE ENTERED FOR THAT TROPHY.
NOTHING CAN BE CHANGED AFTER THE CUT OFF DATE AND THE COMMITTEE'S DECISION IS FINAL.
COMPETITIVE RIDE DISTANCE MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR MASTERCARD.
Associate Members are eligible for Accumulative Mileage Rosettes, The Associate Member Trophy, and for this year only 2011, The Popalous Pairs Trophy.
In order to be eligible for Durham & Teesside Group Trophies you must be a Full Member.
General Rules
1. Damaged or defaced cards i.e. Unreadable cards will not be accepted .
2. Training ride distance will only be awarded on advertised distance e.g. If a 10km and a rider completes it twice for training purposes only 10km will count towards trophies etc.
3. When a choice of distance is offered at a training ride it is possible to drop in distance but not move up to a higher one . No change in distance is permitted once started.
4. All ages (horse and rider) are deemed to change as of January 1st as per the national rules
5. Km will count for cumulative distance rosettes only up to the vetting before the vet gate where the horse was vetted out e.g. 160km ride horse passes vet at 80km but fails at 120km therefore only 80km will count for your cumulative distance rosette but nothing for any trophies.
6. Photocopies of friends cards will not even be considered.
7. Competitive Riders to send a photocopy of their Master Card along with their Durham and Teesside Group Card. Please ensure that ALL rides are signed for on BOTH cards.
8. Trophy Secretary must be informed if during the year, you change your membership status, or you, or your horse change ot upgrade your riding category. It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure that the correct details are held for you on a yearly basis.
9. Awards are allocated from the date you/your horse become eligible and will not be backdated.
10. Group trophies are held for one year and returned PRIOR TO THE AGM in good condition.
11. Durham and Teesside Group of EGB adhere to National's request regarding trophy/distance points relating to SERC rides. 60% or more of the total distance/points must have been achieved in EGB rides. This rule applies to both competitive and pleasure rides.
Individual Trophy
Awarded to the Rider on successful completion of their:-
First 65k Ride
First 80k Ride/ ER
First 120k ER in a day
You will have to claim these awards by sending in a copy of the vet sheet to the Trophy Secretary.
Distance Rosettes
These are awarded for horses completing 200, 400, 600 km etc. up to 1600 km, then in increments of 400 km in any EGB organised rides on a cumulative year to year basis.
Unsung Hero Award
Donated by Bernie Pugh

Awarded to the indiviual/pair who the group feel has done the most for the sport of endurance throughout the year. These people need not be a Durham and Teesside Member and could include Ride Organisers, helpers, crews or any other nominee.
Nominations for this award to be sent in writing to reach the trophy secretary no later than 29th October 2011
Highest Overall Distance

Awarded to the horse/pony with the highest kms. in any type of ride .
Highest Non Competitive Distance

Awarded to the horse/pony with the highest overall non competitive kms.
High Point

Awarded to the horse/pony with the highest number of EGB points from all types of competitive rides.
Endurance Trophy
Awarded to the horse/pony completing the most points in Er's including FEI rides.
Riders to declare starters to enable points to be calculated as per national. No such declaration will discard result being counted for this trophy.
Advanced Graded Ride Trophy

Awarded to the Advanced horse/pony with the highest points in graded rides at Advanced level.
Acorn Trophy
Donated by the Garner family

Awarded to the horse/pony completing the most km in graded rides (not novice) up to and including 60km. Any horse competing in any ride of 61km or more is ineligible for the trophy. In the event of a tie on equal km then points will decide the winner.
John Jamieson Open Trophy

Awarded to the Open horse/pony ridden by an adult rider over 18 with the highest points in graded rides at Open level, including fast track novice horses.
Novice Graded Ride Trophy

Awarded to the novice horse/pony with the highest points in graded rides in their first season of competition, following the “slow track” as per National rules, maximum 450km.
Horses/ponies 7yrs and under are restricted to 450km in total, 8yrs and over 450km competitive plus pleasure rides.
Alf Smith Memorial Trophy
Donated in memory of a local horseman

Awarded to the horse/pony and rider combination, both in their first season of long distance riding. Highest km, any type of ride to count.
Veteran Horse

Awarded to the horse/pony aged 18 years or over, (1st Jan rule applies) with the highest km, any type of ride to count.
Pure Bred Native

Awarded to the horse/pony correctly registered with any British Native Breed Society. Km. from any type of ride to count. Please send photocopy of registration when submitting record card. (unless already held)
Cupid Award

Awarded to the horse/pony with no Arab breeding, gaining the highest number of points as per the national trophy points scheme.
Pure Bred Arab "The Klaszic Trophy"

Part Bred Arab "The Charma Trophy"

Veteran Rider

Awarded to the rider 50 or over. 1st January rule applies. Kms from any type of ride to count.
Guisburn Barefoot Award
Donated by Angela Shutt and Guisburn Arabians

The award will be presented at the AGM to the horse completing the highest number of kilometres barefoot or in hoof boots. To qualify horse/pony must be unshod on all four feet. Kilometres from all rides will count and riders must be sure to mark the box on the back of their mileage cards.
Thoroughbred Trophy

For full or part bred thoroughbred horse/pony. Awarded for gaining the most km from any type of ride.
Registration proof must be sent in with your mileage card at the end of the season unless already held.
The Cob Cup

Awarded to the Cob horse/pony with the highest km from any type of ride.
Cob in this instance defined as not registered or represented in any known breed society.
Any Group Record Card marked as Unknown or Part bred will not be counted. Photocopy of passport required.
The Coloured Horse Award

For Piebald and Skewbald horse/pony.
Awarded to the Piebald/Skewbald horse/pony with the highest km. in any type of ride.
Coloured as per Coloured Horse & Pony Society definition. A 'coloured' animal is black and white (piebald) or white and any other colour, e.g. bay, roan, chestnut (skewbald) with a patch of naturally occuring white coat. This white patch must be on the body above the level of the stifle or elbow, excluding face markings. Any white marking below this does not qualify. Manes and tails may also be white or have white in them. Appaloosa animals with belly markings do not qualify. If a horse or pony only has white markings on the head, legs and or mane or tail in isolation it cannot be considered as a skewbald or piebald.
Bay Tobiano accepted.

Young Rider

Awarded to the Rider aged 14 to 21 (1st Jan rule applies). Km from any type of ride to count.
Junior Rider

Awarded to the rider aged 13 or under. 1st January rule applies, Kms from any type of ride to count.
Whisper Trophy

Awarded to the horse/pony and Junior rider aged under 14 years. 1st January rule applies. Combination who gain most kms in pleasure or training rides.
Frisky - Moors Trophy

Awarded to the horse/pony and Junior/Young rider (aged 8 - 21years) combination with the highest points from graded rides.
Jasper Trophy

Awarded to horse/pony and rider gaining most points in Durham and Teesside group rides including The Northern championship 80km ER. Points to be awarded as follows:-
1 point per km in TR/PR/SS
2 points per km in GR/ER plus grading or placing points as per national points scheme.
Popalous Pairs

Awarded to pair of horse and rider combinations with the most kms, both doing the same distance at a ride (but permissible to be in different divisions eg 1 advanced and 1 novice) at least one pair must be in Durham and Teesside Group.
This year, 2011, to include Associate members. From 2012 full members of Durham & Teesside will be eligible only.
Members are allowed to have a second riding partner but only when riding a second named horse/pony.

New Trophy, The Endurance Choice.

The Endurance Choice Trophy will be awarded to the horse/pony and rider combination who for whatever reason decide to compete at Novice Level Only throughout the season. It does not include any horse/pony and rider combination in their first season of long distance riding at novice level nor does it include those following the Slow Track as per National rules for the Novice Graded Ride Trophy. Any combination competing in even one ride at Open or Advanced will be ineligible for the award.
Awarded for gaining the most km at Novice Level Only. In the event of a tie on equal km then points will decide the winner.
