Event Facilities

First Aid

A longstanding pleasure ride through the Raby estate.

This ride is the perfect opportunity for new comers to join our sport during the summer months and it is
always well attended.  The venue is easily accessible off the A688.  This is an almost circular ride, offering you
the opportunity to extend your mileage if you wish.  Although the ride takes you over public bridleways it is
mostly run over private land with local landowners generously accommodating us by moving fields of stock
to allow for some very long canters.  Despite there being some road work you are unlikely to encounter
much traffic and one stretch gives your horse a good work out up quite a steep hill.

be patient. Ensure you check with the Ride Secretary on the day for any amendments as this may not be the
most up to date version. Please remember that some of our rides use private land that is used only with the
permission from the landowner. Permission is sought for the purpose of the ride organised by Durham &
Teesside EGB on the date shown in the schedule by entrants of that ride. This means that part of the route
may only be ridden if you have entered the ride, and on the scheduled date & time.
