Ride Description

The Durham Valleys Ride consists of mainly disused railway walks, bridleways some forest tracks and quiet country roads.

It is a relatively flat ride, ideal for the beginning of the season.

We are using the same new venue as last year for the Durham Valleys, it is Low Field farm at Willington, Crook on the A690.  The ride already passes this venue, so we have been very lucky to secure this site.  If people have an old map they can see where it is.  It is at the far left of the map as you cross the first major road.  It is in the fields to the right as you cross the road. The grid reference is on the schedule on our web-site and is clearly visible on Google Earth.

This year we are going to have the pleasure riders stay at the south of the main road and they will take in the Croxdale estate and then come back to the venue.
