Cassop Vale Training Ride
17th May 2009
25kmCassop Vale was a new ride for the season this year and took part on Sunday 7th May. After much organising and a last minute change in venue we eventually got the go ahead for the new venue the Monday morning before the ride (cutting it fine I know)!!!
Previous to the ride Mum & I had spent much time organising routes around the area for the use of the best paths to make the ride a success. On the day people arrived from 8.30am ready for a 9.30 start. We had a good turnout of 46 riders who were keen to get out and discover the new paths.
Overall the day went very well with a lot of positive feedback. The majority thought the ride was excellent with stunning views and lovely paths throughout the re-claimed land, running through Raisby & King’s Wood.
Mum & I were very pleased with the ride and the positive feedback we received. Riders seemed to have a great time and we look forward to running the ride next year.
We would also like to say a massive thank you to all those people who helped on the day, which enabled the ride to be a great success.
